NEWS: Exploring Roehampton ancient and modern

Outside of the office Andrew Catto takes a keen interest in local history and runs the Buildings (Planning) Panel for the Putney Society, whose SW15 remit covers nearby Roehampton.

To mark midsummer Andrew researched and led two guided walks around Roehampton for Putney Society members and others, about 20 people each on both Saturday and Sunday. Highlights ranged from a weatherboarded 17th century pub, via no less than three Grade 1 listed houses to the Alton estates two of England’s most influential post war housing estates.

No dates yet, but the Society for Protection of Ancient Buildings have asked him for a version for their London group.
