Andrew Catto
Director/Architect
Andrew Catto founded the practice in 1999 after extensive experience across the UK and Southeast Asia. Trained at the prestigious Architectural Association School in London, he qualified as an architect in 1976 and has since worked on diverse projects including residential, commercial, sports, leisure and healthcare buildings. His deep understanding of local planning regulations, particularly in conservation areas, has been instrumental in securing planning permissions for complex projects. Andrew's leadership extends beyond the practice - he has been President of the Association of Consultant Architects (ACA) and chairs the Buildings Panel for the Putney Society, roles that showcase his industry leadership and deep commitment to architectural standards.

Melissa Lawrence
Director/Architect
Melissa Lawrence da Cunha brings over 25 years of international architectural experience to the practice. She graduated as an Architect in Brazil in 2001 and received a Post graduate degree in Economic Engineering in the following years. She joined Andrew Catto Architects in 2005, and had her qualifications accredited by RIBA. Following valuable experience with high-end clients at other London practices between 2015-2017, Melissa returned to Andrew Catto Architects as Director. Her unique combination of Brazilian and British architectural perspectives, coupled with her personal experience of home renovation projects, enables her to guide clients through complex design challenges with exceptional empathy and insight.
